Felicity Who are You? cover

Felicity, Who Are You?

Everything begins with a mystery.

This story takes us back to Sarah’s childhood, when she believed she had an invisible friend named Felicity who appeared only near the fence at the end of her yard. No one else could see Felicity except Sarah. Plus, Felicity even refused to meet Sarah’s family. This left everyone uncertain whether she was real or just a fragment of Sarah’s imagination.

Sarah Takes a Chance

Sarah is now a young veterinarian working with exotic animals, far from home in Tennessee. Life seems normal until one morning her van mysteriously disappears from her driveway. Soon after, Sarah receives a strange message demanding she follow instructions if she wants it back. What truly shocks her is the next photo: her beloved spider monkey friend Kiki is inside the stolen van. Now, she must rely on courage, quick thinking, and the special connection she shares with Kiki to bring him back.

Kiki Goes Awol

Kiki Goes AWOL

One day, while exploring near the farm, Kiki spots a delivery truck full of fruit. Tempted by the delicious smell, she swings closer to investigate and suddenly finds herself accidentally trapped inside the truck as it drives away. Miles from home and stuck in a dark warehouse, Kiki must figure out how to survive while her friends desperately search for her.

Oh, lovely. Two arms, two legs, a furry head, and eight fingers and toes… Wait a minute – what?
I opened my eyes, and there, looking straight at me, was Kiki.
I put my hand out to reach for Nick on the other side of the bed, but nearly squashed Melissa in the process (Kiki’s spider friend). She ran and jumped on Kiki as if to say, ‘What is the crazy lady doing?’
Ok, so at 7 am with a big belly full of a child (my daughter to be), I really was quite baffled why we had a client’s monkey in my bed.

Nick Goes to Vegas Alone

Nothing – not a word. Did he get there ok? Did he lose his phone? Please don’t tell me he was mugged at the airport for his phone!
All these thoughts went through my head. He always texted or spoke to me every couple of hours if he went away. Alright, it was normally a Veterinary convention, not a weekend away with the boys, but really, was I that unforgettable?
I sent the 30th text since he left, and although it was only a couple of hours flight, I was starting to get worried now, and Kiki was pacing, so I’m not sure if she knew or just sensed my anxiety.

I was sick… Oh, come on! Put your monkey paws up. Who gave it to me?
I was never sick. Sarah and Nick made sure I had yearly shots to stop this, so what has happened? I bet the child gave it to me!

Chloe was always sniffling and coughing, and the sounds coming from her diaper were shocking. Here I was in a van, strapped in a cage, heading west to some animal sickbay. What was wrong with the surgery we had at home? Wasn’t Nick quite as good a vet as he should be if he had to send me somewhere else?

Sarah was crying while Chloe screamed. I bet Chloe didn’t know why and just wanted to join in. Melissa just sat on the doormat, looking her normal, puzzled, staring self, but of course, she now had to be the one to look after Sarah while I was gone.

Albert Meets Teddy

Oh, my goodness, it was so wet. My tail will go curly if it continues raining much more. I must get back to the den; I was only supposed to go out for a few minutes. Mummy said, ‘Don’t wander, you are too young.’ Well, yes, obviously I was, as I had no clue where I was.

I had followed the smell: chopped-up dog food, our favourite. Normally, Dad goes out and brings a mouthful back for each of us in turn. If this is the walk he does every night, he must be exhausted by morning. Maybe I should tell my brothers to be kinder to him; we are forever giving him a nip on the ear or his big, bushy tail.

Maybe if I turn right at the next corner, I will get back to the river, and then I know where I am (I really haven’t got a clue, but I thought that sounded so grown up).
