Nick Goes to Vegas Alone

Nothing – not a word. Did he get there ok? Did he lose his phone? Please don’t tell me he was mugged at the airport for his phone!
All these thoughts went through my head. He always texted or spoke to me every couple of hours if he went away. Alright, it was normally a Veterinary convention, not a weekend away with the boys, but really, was I that unforgettable?
I sent the 30th text since he left, and although it was only a couple of hours flight, I was starting to get worried now, and Kiki was pacing, so I’m not sure if she knew or just sensed my anxiety.
